How to create an activity #
Open the Home Screen on the app. Click on the + icon at the bottom of the canXsee app.
You will then be directed to the Activity screen. You can upload up to 5 images here using your own Photos or Unsplash (a free photo-sharing platform).
Using your own photos #
If you are using your own photos. You can do this by pressing the PICTURE icon.
You will then be directed to a button on the bottom of your screen that states
“Upload Image from Gallery”
or “Choose from Unsplash.”
If you use your own photos, choose “Upload Image from Gallery.”
If you choose to upload your own photos, you must give our App permission to access this. Under the iPhone, you can select the type of privacy permission you want to provide us. Choose whatever you feel comfortable with, but you will have different settings in the App depending on your choice.
If you have given the canXsee app a limited number of the selected photos you will be asked to “Manage” what photos you would like to place on the App.
You will be then asked to “Select more photos, which will give you the option of selecting the photo you want to place on the App.
Once you choose the photo you want, this will come up in your ‘Recents’ photos. Select ‘Recent’.
This will open a new screen where you can individually choose to upload these photos to the App.
Click on the photo you want and press “Choose” in orange.
Once the photo has been uploaded, you will see the photo in “Activity Information”.
Then you’ll need to add details such as the “Activity Title”. For example, we have named our activity “Jessica’s Fun Little House on the Prarie”. Remember to keep the activity title under 45 characters.
Using Unsplash #

Adding a description #
In the next box, describe your activity. A good tip is to try and write directly to the audience you would like to attend your event. Remember to keep your character count under 550 words.
Once you have finished adding your title, you’ll need to select who is the activity organiser. This is generally the account you signed up with. As my account belongs to Jessica Doe, you will see my name here.
Finally, select the best categories to describe your audience. You have multiple categories to select from, and choose the category which describes your audience best and then press “CONTINUE”
Activity Dates and Payments #
Select your activity start date, time of the activity, end date and end time.
NOTE: If your activity is available 24/7, you can choose 24/7.
If your activity repeats, you can select the “Repeat” option.
Select a location #
The next step is to “Select a location”. This is where the event is being held. You can either type in the event in “Customise Address” or have the App find your locations. You can see examples of this here.
If you wish to use the App to set your location, click on the icon of where you are, then choose “Set location”.
Setting your venue #
The next step is to determine and provide information about whether it’s an Indoor or Outdoor event under Venue.
Select the best options that fit.
Finalising your participants #
In the Total Participants / Capacity, select how many people can attend your event. You can do this by using the up and down arrows.
If it’s unlimited, select “Unlimited”.
Adding prices #
If your Activity has a price, you can add your price under the “Price” part of the App.
Price Type refers to how you charge for your event. This can be per person, per item, or activity type.
You can also add different prices by selecting “Add Different prices”.
You can add “Free Events” by toggling “Free”.
Publishing your activity
Once you have finished, you can publish your event by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy in the tick box and selecting “Publish Activity”.
